1. Reflecting on the three weeks he spent at Auschwitz, Wiesel admits "Some of the
men spoke of God: His mysterious ways, the sins of the Jewish people, and the
redemption to come. As for me, I had ceased to pray. I concurred with Job!" p. 45.
What happens to the man called Job in the Bible? What is his story? Explain why
Eliezer feels connected to him.

Respuesta :

Answer:

Job is a very wealthy man and God lets Satan kill all his family except his wife, he also loses his servants and his house. Also, Satan argues with God that he is so good because God has blessed him so much. After that Job still remains loyal to God and then God lets Satan give him blisters and boils all over his body. He still believes in God, but wants an explanation. I feel that Eliezer is connected to him because he went through the same things. Eliezer went through so much, including losing his parents and sister and even though everybody kept praying and trying to believe in God, God kept making things worse for them. God does everything for a reason and he tries to test us when times get hard.
