one way to do this is to use ratios
another way is to graph it
if you use ratios then
1:25=5:125
1/25=5/125
1/25=1/25
therefor theya re in same ratios
(x,y)=(1,25)
find (3,y)
1:25 =3:y
1/25=3/y
multiplyh both siddes by y
y/25=3
multiply both sides by 25
y=75
the point is (3,75)
