Please help me answer these 2 questions


1. The sat mathematics in the state of florida did this year ads approximately normally distributed with a mean of 500 and a standard deviation of 100 .

2. Using the empirical rule what is the probability that a randomly selected score lies between 500 and 700? express your answer as a decimal

The first one is not a question. Rather it is the parameters in which the second question exists.

49.85%

This is because the likelihood of a point being within 2 SDs of the mean is 99.7%. This leaves .15 above and .15 below that curve. Given that we are looking from the mean (50%) and the upper limit with the exception of that .15, we would get the answer above.
