The city of Auckland is also known for having the largest Polynesian population in the world of any city. The Maori people that are native to New Zealand make up 10.7% of the city's population (2013 census). They have all rights and have no problems with the other communities, and are one of the rare that haven't been assimilated or discriminated after the European colonization, which brought a nice collaboration in forming the state and mutual support and welfare.
