If plants were to be removed, then the whole world will become a disaster. For one, nitrogen cannot be used and released for intake in other animals.

The nitrogen cycle is a biogeochemical cycle that circulates the organic and inorganic nitrogen in the atmosphere. In absence of the plant, the growth of the organisms will stop.

What is the nitrogen cycle?

The nitrogen cycle is the process that continuously fixes and circulates the nitrogen and its product in the atmosphere and the other spheres. It plays an important part in providing nutrition and nourishment to the plants.

Plants play a major role in an ecosystem, and if removed from the nitrogen cycle will stop the growth of the organisms, and eventually cause death and extinction of the species. It will not be able to fix the nitrogen and the substance required by the species to grow.

Therefore, plants are an essential factor in the nitrogen cycle.
