Mr. Teller wants his dog, Lucy, back.
The conflict of the play is the main problem. It is clear in the play that Mr. Teller wants his dog back but Sylvio and June have brought the dog into their family. The rain is not a conflict, just part of the setting and sets a depressing mood. The fact that Lucy has grown up is not a problem. The fact that Mr. Teller is the dog's owner creates the conflict since the owner should be allowed to take his dog, but Sylvio and June thought Mr. Teller had abandoned her at their house.
