Heteronormativity assumes that heterosexuality is the only one accepted in society. The process of socialization leads to diverse outcomes and it does not emphasize heteronormativity.
On the contrary, heteronormativity is the consolidation of the majority thinking of heterosexual people about minorities, representing a process of social withdrawal. A process of socialization of people consists in understanding the plurality of personal and cultural characteristics in order to stimulate coexistence with human diversity. This leads to the diminution of chauvinistic and heteronormative patterns of society, which will be replaced by respect for gender equality and sexual orientation.
