The best answer is C Some American opposed the war due to their ideology . The Quakers and some Mennonite sects embraced what is called religious pacifism. They were generally against war and military solutions to disputes. Other groups such as the SDS (Students for a Democratic Society) opposed the use of nuclear weapons. America came do dominate the world economy after WWII because the USA was largely untouched by the physical devastation that countries in Europe suffered.
