What does this quote tell us about the media's influence during the Nixon investigation? "We saw the public man in his first administration, and we were impressed. Now in about 300,000 words we have seen the private man, and we are appalled." – Clayton Kirkpatrick, editor of the Chicago Tribune, a newspaper that published the entire transcript of Nixon's released communications (3 points)

This quote shows how the media played a large role in causing President Nixon to resign. The Watergate scandal, as it is now referred to, was driven by the media. Specifically, the writers from the Washington Post ( Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward) helped to expose the corruption behind the break-in to the Democratic headquarters.

Besides exposing the original story, the media went on to gain audio and tape recordings of President Nixon. These tapes showed President Nixon as manipulative and dishonest. From there, his reputation never recovered and lead to him being the only US president to ever resign.
I thinks it is A. Hope this helps!(I know the answers because I do FLVS and have the same question lol)
