In gunshot wound, the patient would be at risk of bleeding to death. The nurse should prepare fluid resuscitation using blood transfusion. The nurse could also be using crystalloid fluid before the blood is prepared. Preparing the operation room might be necessary depends on the patient condition but it won't be the initial treatment.
