It is regulated by the hypothalamus that is responsible for reaction on changes of temperature. The hypothalamus stimulates sweat glands and body hair muscles in order to keep up the normal temperature so that the body would feel comfortable in both cold and hot conditions.

To control body tempature as Animal it needs to do 3 things. (1) the Animals must find a source of heat. (2) Animals must be able to get rid of excess heat when temperatures increase. (3) Animals must be able to conserve heat when temperatures drop. using the process of elimation the answer to the question is ( Animals must switch between ectotherm and endotherm methods). if you have your biology book on hand for the course the answer is on page 685 if you want to find the answer yourself. its under the heading "body tempature control."
