Spain had won, and declared independence that was split up into three colonies, the independence from Spain came suddenly for most of Latin  america. even after this Spain still fought to keep its rich colonies, hoping those wouldn't be split, after giving independence to Latin america. if this dosent help, im sorry i tried my best, if i find more research on this topic i will be glad to share it with you. i did as good as i can for you right now, thank you for your time.

Answer: The economies of Latin American countries were damaged following wars for independence because many Spanish citizens fled the countries and took their money with them. In addition, many factories, farms, and mines were destroyed during the wars. Wealthy landowners wanted to protect their land rights and struggled for control of governments, which led to continuing conflicts. People in Latin America also disagreed about what role the Church should play in new governments. All of these factors led to weaker governments and continued conflict.
