The first cloned cat, called carbon copy, was a calico, but she looked significantly different from her female parent. why was this the case with this clone?
I would think this can happen via two methods. Recessive genes in the original animal taking dominance in the clone it the most likely answer. The second and less likely scenario would be spontaneous gene mutation.
