According to the “World Psychiatry” (Journal of the World Psychiatric Association) identifying similarities and differences is a human phenomenon. Human beings are usually evaluating creatures around them. Males evaluate other males as well as females evaluate other females and it is apparent that there is a need of evaluation in the evolution development. We need to know if the person next to us is someone to be afraid of, if it is a competitor, if it is somebody who will be a burden or if they will disturb the equilibrium in our group. This assessment is an ongoing process and at the end it is why the stigmatization occurs. Stigma is the disapproval or discrimination of people based on traits that distinguish them from other members of society. The most common stigma is due to culture, race, illness and disease.
