A gradual tax is proportional to the income of the taxpayer’s, meaning it is based on they capability to pay it depending on how much they earn. The progressive Movement stands that the problems were within the government and the society and in order to solve it there should be a graduated federal income tax. This is where the progressive tax takes part, because it will be different depending on the taxpayer’s income and in that way the taxes will be equal, compensating the differences of the society.
