If I understand this question correctly, then what you'd need to do is take the $5 payments and multiply it by the number of times she paid them. So 5 x 7 which equals 35. And to find the change back you take what she paid ($35) and subtract what she got back ($20). So 35 - 20 = she got $15 back.
