first lets make it into a fraction and remove its decimal ....so when u divide it by 10 the decimal goes 1 number forward so u get 47/10....now when u divide it you get 4 as the quotient , 7 as the remainder and 10 is the divisor ...
so as mixed fraction we can write it as 4 7/10 ..

Hope it helps !!!

Answer: [tex]4\dfrac{7}{10}[/tex]

Step-by-step explanation:

A mixed number consist of both whole number and a fraction.\

It is mainly use to represent a improper fraction (in which numerator has greater value than the denominator).

For example :-

[tex]\dfrac{7}{3}=\dfrac{2\times3+1}{3}=2\dfrac{1}{3}[/tex]

Since 4.7 is a decimal number, to convert it into a mixed number , we can write it as ( in expanded form)

[tex]4.7=4+0.7[/tex]

Here the place value of 7 is 7 tenths and tenth is written as [tex]\dfrac{1}{10}[/tex] in fraction.

Therefore, 0.7 will be written as [tex]\dfrac{7}{10}[/tex]

Thus ,[tex]4.7=4+\dfrac{7}{10}[/tex]

Or

[tex]4.7=4\dfrac{7}{10}[/tex]    → In Mixed form.
