The answer is comfort zone. It’s very important for an interview/interrogation to be conducted both in a location and in an environment where the person answering the questions, regardless to whether they’re doing so as a witness or as a suspect, would feel, above all, safe, but also comfortable to talk as freely and as comfortably as they’re willing to.
