The organ in which ammonia is converted to the less toxic compound urea is the kidney. The kidney is responsible for this conversion and for the creation of urea, and later on urine, after which it travels through our body and then leaves it in order to rid our bodies of these toxic materials. But all of it starts in the kidneys whose function is to convert these materials.
