This is an accurate statement. The Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identifications System (OR IAFIS) allows police departments to more accurately access whether a criminal is innocent or guilty. This also allows for instances where police are looking for a suspect to find a finger print and locate them based on the fingerprint.
