Consider the relation y = −3|x + 5| − 6. What are the coordinates of the vertex?

 (−5, −6)
 (5, −6)
 (−5, 6)
 (−3, −6)

Since this is an absolute value function, it will have a maximum value when x=-5, which makes y=-6, so the vertex is the point:

(-5, -6)
the vertex of y = -3|x + 5|  will be at (-5,0)

the -6 moves it dwn vertically 6 units

so answer is (-5,-6)
