Carbohydrates and lipids are part of the four macromolecules in the cells which are made of C, H, O and N. However, they are different in many ways. First, carbohydrtes are soluble in water so it travels in tissues and bloodstream while lipids are not soluble in water. Another is the digestion os these molecules, carbohydrates are metabolized easily by the enzymes present in the saliva while lipids needs a complex process to be metabolized.
