Work is the completion of any task for example if you have done your homework in 5 hours then you have done 5 hours.

Another example of work is that if you have done your food by 1 hour it means your work duration is 1 hour so work is basically the time duration of any task which you have done.

The time duration between 8:30 am to 1:30 pm

1:30 - 8:30 = 5 hours

The time duration between 2:30 and 1:30 is 1 hour but it's 2:15 so it will be 15 minutes less in 1 hour which is 45 minutes.

So total work with lunch break = 5 hours and 45 minutes

After removing 1/2 (30 minutes) lunch break = 45 minutes - 30 minutes = 15 minutes.

So it will be 5 hours and 15 minutes.
