B is the correct answer. Between is used for 2 items. Among is used for 3+ items. In this case, a soccer team, has far more than 2 players. 
B. The players on the soccer team cheered among themselves after they one.

Among themselves mean they were together when they did it which makes sense since players is in plural form!! "Between" themselves is confusing and incorrect.
