What happens to the rate of dissolution as the temperature is increased in a gas solution?

Respuesta :

I would have to say that the rate of dissolution would decrease.

Answer:

Rate of dissolution for a gas solution decreases with increase in temperature

Explanation:

Gaseous molecules tend to dissolve into liquid through various intermolecular forces e.g. dipole-dipole force, H-bonding, van der waal force etc.

As the temperature increases, these intermolecular forces become more prone to be disrupted due to increase in thermal energy.

Hence gaseous molecules tend to flee from bulk liquid.

Therfore dissolution of gas molecules decrease.
