Solve this problem by subtracting 1/4 from 2 1/2. 

2 1/2 - 1/4 = 2 2/8 = 2 1/4 pounds of blueberries left. 

Now subract how many are left from the original amount. 

2 1/2 - 2 1/4 = 2/8 = 1/4 lb. 

Your answer should be 1/4 lb.
