Respuesta :
I emerge from fossil fuels and leave the ground, I enter trees through photosynthesis, I am eaten by animals, some trees die and I am released, the animals die and I am released through decomposition, and animals can also breath me in and out.
In the environment, carbon atoms move from atmosphere to earth (plant & animals) and back to the atmosphere. Carbon goes through photosynthesis, respiration, decomposition and combustion during the carbon cycle.
Carbon Cycle:
It is the biogeochemical cycle by which carbon moves among the atmosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere.
The carbon cycle includes 4 processes,
- Photosynthesis - Atmospheric Carbon dioxide fixed as Glucose in plants.
- Respiration - Glucose broken down to produce energy in which Carbon dioxide is released.
- Decomposition- It is the process of degrading complex organic compounds into simpler compounds, such as methane and ammonia.
- Combustion- It is the process of burning. Carbon is released into the atmosphere when fossil fuel burns.
Therefore, In carbon cycle carbon moves to the plant from the atmosphere and then to animals. Carbon is released back to the atmosphere via respiration, decomposition and combustion.
