So I'm writing an essay for the book "in the time of butterflies" and my topic is power but I don't know a theme for power can anybody help me figure out a theme?

I never read the book before but i can give you some questions to think about. who's the main character? does the main character solve any problems that can make him strong? what's the main characters personality?
Think about questions like that and you will be able to see what makes this person/ item powerful.
