Taj Mahal is a mausoleum, made of ivory and white marble, on the southern shore of the Yamuna River, in the city of Agra, India.This magnificent building was commissioned by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan and built between 1631. and 1648. to place the tomb of his favorite wife Mumtaz Mahal here.
