It helps an individual protect itself.
Being an adaptive mechanism, classical conditioning helps protect an individual from harm or get him ready for an important biological activity, such as sex. Here, a stimulus that occurred before intercourse has caused arousal, which prepares a person for sexual contact. It does not help create new behaviors.
While this learning method helps an individual learn new behaviors, it does not create new behaviors. Basically, it only connects a naturally occurring response to a stimulus and deals with visceral responses.
