The fourth of July is not a thing to celebrate for the slaves,because the truth behind it is the common people people still depending on the slavery while celebrating the independence of the Nation from Great Britain. There is no freedom for African Americans. It is only for Common people and African Americans were treated as a property. And according to Frederick Douglass "THIS FOURTH OF JULY IS YOURS NOT MINE, YOU MAY REJOICE ,I MUST MOURN".
