The social deficiencies of people with schizoid personality disorder are similar to those of people with paranoid personality disorder.

Schizoid personality disorder is not any common condition within which people avoid social activities and consistently pull away themselves from interacting with others. They even have a restricted vary of emotional expression. It's symptoms include avoidance of close relationships, lack of close friends, indifferent to other people's opinions, flat affection and detachment.

Paranoid personality disorder (PPD) is a mental health condition marked by a pattern of distrust and suspicion of others while there is not any adequate reason to be suspicious. These people are constantly guarding themselves and belief that someone is trying to harm or threaten them.
