Emotional intelligence is the ability to perceive, express, and regulate emotions.

Emotional intelligence refers to an individual's ability in identifying their own emotions and those of others, responding appropriately to emotions, adapting emotions to achieve certain goals or aims, and managing emotions appropriately in various contexts. In contrast, Gardner's idea of interpersonal intelligence is more focused on the ability to succeed in a group setting. Emotional intelligence on the other hand is focused on sensitivity to the emotions and feelings of others.

Emotional intelligence is the capability to find and manage our own emotions, also the other's emotions. Those who have good emotional intelligence also tend to read well other people’s emotions and also react to them as it is expected and appropriate.
