Michael complains that threatening voices are constantly telling him he is evil so he should kill himself. Michael is experiencing hallucinations.
Hallucination are sensory experiences that feel real but are created by mind. They affect all of your five senses. You might be able to see someone that no one else might be able to or hear voices that no one else can hear. You may experience hallucination as a result of psychological disorder such as dementia, schizophrenia; medication, epilepsy or alcohol used disorder. Substance is another cause that can cause it. Hallucinogenic drugs like LSD and PCP can also cause you to hallucinate.
Lack of sleep and certain medications also make you susceptible to hallucinate. Treatment for hallucination completely depends on its underlying cause. A person hallucinating should not be left alone as they can be threat to society and themselves.
