It is a form that prospective and existing undergraduate and graduate college students (in the United States) fill out to determine their eligibility for student financial aid. The following requirements must be met by students in order to qualify for FAFSA:

  • Be a male between the age of 18 and 25 who are registered with the Selective Service System (for American conscription).
  • Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
  • Be a U.S. citizen, a U.S. national, or an eligible non-citizen.
  • Possess a valid Social Security number.
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED.
