Which term names the broadest, most inclusive taxonomic group? species species family family domain domain genus

Respuesta :

The answer is the domain

Taxonomy is the classification of organisms based on their similarities and differences in characteristics. Closely related organisms are grouped in a hierarchical classification. The hierarchical arrangement starts from a species, genus, family, class, phylum, and then ultimately kingdom.

Kingdoms together are grouped into a higher classification called domains. There are three domains: Archaea, bacteria, and the Eukarya.

Archaea and bacteria are prokaryotic whereas Eukarya is eukaryotic. Archaea are unicellular cellular organisms that are adapted to live in different environments. Methanogens, thermophiles, and halophiles are examples of Archaea.

Unlike Archaea,  domain bacteria contain unicellular organisms with phospholipid membranes. Eukarya includes organisms with well defined cell organelles.
