What is Combustion ?

In the chemical process of combustion, an object quickly combines with oxygen to produce heat. The original substance is referred to as the fuel, and the oxygen's source as the oxidizer. Although it is typically a liquid for aeroplane propulsion, the fuel can be a solid, liquid, or gas.
