Urie Bronfenbrenner created Ecological Systems Theory (EST), commonly known as human ecology, as an ecological systems framework in 1979. (Harkonen, 2007). Research by Bronfenbrenner concentrated on how social interaction affects child development. According to Bronfenbrenner, a person's development is influenced by everything in their surroundings, including their social relationships. Children are moulded through their interactions with others and the environment, according to EST. The idea, which is frequently applied in research, includes four intricate layers termed systems. The majority of studies using ecological theory have been in psychology, but they have also been utilised in studies in law, business, management, teaching and learning, and education.
