Light exposure on the retina could lead to induce photoreceptor cell (PRC) death and damage to it in this type of condition.
This is known as the light sensitive layer found at the back of the eyes and is responsible for sending signals to the brain through the optic nerves. The eyes has different parts which ensures that sight is at its peak so as to enable us see and perform the necessary activities for our daily living.
The retina when exposed to bright light causes some changes in the photoreceptor apoptosis and retinal metabolic function thereby resulting in retinal damage which affects eyesight and in most cases aren't reversible. There is therefore the need to protect our eyes from such type of exposure.
