Anna, Betty and Candy shared a box of sweets. Anna took 8 more than 1/3 of the number of sweets in the box. Betty took 18 more than half of the remaining number of sweets . If Candy took the last 6 sweets, how many sweets were there in the box at first?

Therefore, Anna  - (x/3)+8

After Anna, remaining amount is x - ((x/3)+8) = 2x/3 + 8

Betty took (2x/3 + 8)/2 + 18 = x/3 + 22

Remaining = x - ((x/3)+8) - (x/3 + 22) = x/3 -30

Candy took the rest which is 6 i.e.

x/3 - 30 = 6

x/3 = 36

x = 108
