Only 27 percent of adults get eight or more hours of sleep on an average school night.
The national survey of youths in the United states states that 27 percent of adults in school get over 8 hours of sleep, leaving a staggering 63% of this population with less sleep.
A recent study also shows that a 30 minutes delay in school start time for the day increases student's sleep and hence their health and mood.
Note that Suic*de amongst people in this age group had tripled since 1959 and may be linked to a lack of sleep.
