Any patterns you see for these in 3 you need to explain how to multiply fractions with out using a model. For example: 2/7 x 3/4 a least common multiple is 28 so we change both denominators to 28 and multiply the numerator by the same number as the denominator so 7 x 4 = 28, 2 x 4= 8 that changes 2/7 to 8/28 you do the same for 3/4. Ok so 4 x 7 = 28 then 3 x 7 = 21 so that changes to 21/28 now we multiply. 8/28 x 21/28 = 168/28 now we have to make this improper fraction to a mixed number which is 6.
