why doesn't the amount of land area occupied by sudan and Algeria countries mean they contain huge population

The areas occupied by Sudan and Algeria don't contain large populations because of their climates. Both countries are across the Sahara Desert, and the arid regions make many parts of the countries uninhabitable.
