Substituting the value of (-4,3) and slope 1/2 in above formula, we get
(y - 3) = 1/2 (x - (-4))
By further calculation
(y - 3) = 1/2(x + 4)
By cross multiplication
2(y - 3) = (x + 4)
Using the multiplicative distributive property
2y - 6 = x + 4
On rearranging,
x - 2y + 10 = 0
Therefore, the equation of the line is x - 2y + 10 = 0.
