for this, i would suggest drawing yourself a quick number line--it doesn't need to be anything fancy; just mark where 0 is and mark where -52 is. because -52 is a negative number, it'll be on the LEFT side of the 0. the number line makes this problem way easier.

now look at your answers, and put a tick mark for each of them. figure out where they all lie along a number line. -38 is negative, so still to the left of the 0, but it isn't as big of a number as -52, so you know it isn't as far left as -52. it would fall somewhere between 0 and -52. because -52 is less than -38, it falls to the LEFT of -38, like the answer choice states.

look at your mark for -51. it's only one unit greater than -52, but -52 is on the left side of it, not to the right. this answer choice isn't correct.

check -63. because -52 is greater than -63, it IS to the right of that value. this answer choice is correct.
