A private jet flies the same distance in 12 hours that a commercial jet flies in 8 hours. If the speed of the commercial jet was 88mph less than 2 times the speed of the private jet, find the speed of each jet.

Private jet's speed = x

Equation:

10(x) = 8(2x-162)

10x = 16x - 1296

6x = 1296

x = 216 (Private jet's speed)
