[tex]length = {x}^{3} + 5{x}^{2} + 8x + 4[/tex]

[tex]since \: area = length \times width \\ width = \frac{area}{length} [/tex]

[tex]width = \frac{{x}^{4} + 4{x}^{3} + 3{x}^{2} - 4x - 4}{{x}^{3} + 5{x}^{2} + 8x + 4}[/tex]

[tex]width = x - 1[/tex]
