The higher the form that life takes on the more responsibility it is endowed with to care for what is subject to it. In this case I the higher form of life, a human, have cared for that which is subject to me. I have accomplished one of my purposes. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity and yet this causes me to reflect, am I not like this small bird in every way when the highest form of life, God, cares for me? Indeed I am even more weak in contrast to God than the bird is in contrast to me.
