Please help, I don’t understand

Answer:
Step-by-step explanation:
These type of problems show up on Brainly the most. I'm kinda alarmed at how often I try to help people with these. it's not that the problem is hard, it's just that it's hard to explain. I feel like teachers "drop the ball" when it comes to explaining this kind of problem.
copy and paste the below into your notes
Use SOH CAH TOA to recall how the trig functions fit on a triangle
SOH: Sin(Ф)= Opp / Hyp
CAH: Cos(Ф)= Adj / Hyp
TOA: Tan(Ф) = Opp / Adj
copy and paste the above into your notes
Opp = Opposite, Adj = Adjacent (next to)
Now use the info in the trig functions to help you decide which function to use to solve this problem. Also ask your teacher if I can have 1/3 of their pay. For teaching you how to do this, when they couldn't :P
Hyp is always the long side of the triangle. But Opp and Adj can switch , depending on which angle you use.
let's us the 30° one so that [tex]\sqrt{2}[/tex] is the Opp side from that angle
since we have the Opp and the angle and want to find the Hyp. Sin has all of those parts. and we can solve for Hyp and get the answer we're looking for.
Sin(30) = [tex]\sqrt{2}[/tex] / Hyp
use your algebra skillz and move terms around
Hyp = [tex]\sqrt{2}[/tex] / Sin(30)
Hyp = [tex]\sqrt{2}[/tex] / (1/2)
Hyp = 2[tex]\sqrt{2}[/tex]
