x^2=73-y^2

73-y^2-y^2=55
-2y^2= -18 multiply both sides by -1
2y^2=18 divide both sides by 2
y^2=9
y= √9
y=3

x^2=73-9
x^2=64
x= √64
x=8

Check:
64+9=73
64-9=55
